We are currently recruiting for reliable and hardworking School Caretakers / Premises Assistants to work across a range of schools in East London.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous school caretaker, premises, maintenance, handyperson, or DIY experience who are looking for flexible work with the potential for permanent employment.
Available Shift Patterns
6:00am to 2:00pm8:00am to 4:00pm10:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday
Duties Will Include
Opening and locking school premisesCarrying out basic maintenance and repairsGeneral DIY and handyperson dutiesHealth & safety checks around the siteSetting up rooms and furniture for school eventsAssisting with deliveries and site securityMonitoring and reporting building maintenance issuesEnsuring the school site remains clean, safe, and well-presented Candidate Requirements
Previous caretaker, premises, maintenance, handyperson, facilities, or general DIY experienceGood practical skills and ability to carry out basic repairsReliable, punctual, and proactive approach to workGood communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage workload effectively DBS Requirement
An Enhanced DBS Certificate is required for this role. Candidates who do not currently hold an Enhanced DBS may be able to apply for one as part of the recruitment process.
