Assistant to Import TDM

We are looking for an Assistant to the Import TDM who is highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working with data and reporting. You will support the management and development of the Import North Med trade by liaising with overseas offices, monitoring cargo movements, producing reports, and helping to drive process improvements. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Understanding and research of the market to support decision making and commercial growthAnalysing performance and providing feedback on this to the Trade ManagerEstablish & maintain good client relationshipsMaintain special rates & contracts as well as Geneva tariffsUse in-house systems such as Flint, Avery, TMS, Link & the One Vision Platform (OVQ, CRM, OVParty)Client & Geneva visit preparationAssist with day-to-day quotations as well as tendersQuery handling & resolutionSupport the Trade Development Manager as required on an ongoing basisProvide any other support when required Skills and experience you’ll bring to us
Strong IT skills especially in the Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word & PowerBI programmesTo be organised & have a methodical approach to work to ensure accuracy of reporting along with ensuring that all strict deadlines are metStrong analytical skills & to be able to present data & information to create strategies or market understanding for the client base with a results driven approachBe able to work on their own initiative & problem solve independentlyA balanced understanding of operational & commercial demandsConfidence to make appropriate fact-based decisions, be professional, willing to help & enabled to provide effective communication with both internal & external customersBe a team player with a flexible can-do approach to work What we offer
