Develop and implement procurement strategies for the Place category.Manage the tendering process, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations.Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.Monitor contract performance and address any issues promptly.Provide advice and guidance on procurement policies and best practices.Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to meet project objectives.Prepare reports and updates for senior management as required.Ensure procurement activities align with the council's financial and strategic goals. A successful Interim Category Manager - Place should have:
Experience in procurement and contract management within the public sector.Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and policies.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.The ability to analyse data and develop procurement strategies.A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.Confidence in working with stakeholders at all levels.
