Data Engineering LeadWest London | Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite Up to £90,000 + up to 40% bonus We're working with a large, established organisation that is investing heavily in the modernisation of its data platform and is looking for a Data Engineering Lead to play a key role in that transformation.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll take ownership of the design and delivery of scalable data solutions while leading and developing a team of 4-6 Data Engineers. You'll be joining at an exciting stage as the business continues its move from legacy, on-premise infrastructure towards a modern, cloud-native data environment.
What you'll be doing Leading the design, development and deployment of scalable data pipelines and architecturesManaging, mentoring and developing a team of Data EngineersDriving the adoption of cloud technologies and modern data engineering practicesBuilding out reliable data operations and improving the performance of the wider data estateWorking closely with Data Architects, Analytics teams and senior stakeholdersEstablishing engineering best practices across CI/CD, coding standards, documentation and version controlHelping shape the technical direction of a major data modernisation programme What we're looking for You'll be an experienced Data Engineering leader who is still comfortable operating at a technical level.
Ideally, you'll bring experience across:
AWS including S3, EC2, Lambda and GlueSnowflakePython & SQLAirflow or similar ETL/orchestration toolingStreaming technologies such as KinesisData warehousing and data modellingCI/CD and modern engineering practicesBuilding and maintaining complex data pipelinesLeading and developing Data Engineering teams Package Up to £90,000 base salary Up to 40% bonus West London Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite
