Are you an experienced Sea Freight Import Coordinator looking for your next opportunity with a well-established and growing freight forwarding business?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a successful international logistics and freight forwarding organisation that is looking to strengthen its Manchester operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid ocean import experience who enjoys taking ownership of shipments from booking through to final delivery, working closely with customers and overseas partners along the way.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end sea freight import shipments, ensuring goods move efficiently and customers receive a consistently high standard of service.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing ocean import shipments from booking through to final deliveryLiaising with customers, overseas agents, hauliers and suppliersArranging customs clearance and deliveriesMonitoring shipments and proactively resolving operational issuesProviding regular shipment updates to customersMaintaining accurate shipping documentation and operational recordsUsing CargoWise or similar freight management systemsBuilding strong relationships with customers and supporting key accountsEnsuring shipments are handled in line with relevant procedures and compliance requirementsWorking collaboratively with colleagues across the wider freight operation What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have:
Previous experience within ocean/sea freight forwardingExperience managing import shipments end-to-endKnowledge of customs clearance procedures and complianceExperience using CargoWise or a similar freight/transport management systemStrong customer service and communication skillsExcellent organisation and attention to detailThe ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneouslyA proactive approach to problem-solvingA genuine desire to develop your freight forwarding career What’s On Offer?
