Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced and passionate Tutor to deliver engaging educational programmes to young learners in Frome. This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor who enjoys working with small groups and is committed to helping young people develop the academic, personal and workplace skills needed for their future success.
The Role You will be working across two specialist programmes:
Wednesday & Thursday - Future Ready Programme
Deliver Functional Skills English and MathsDeliver an Employability qualificationTeach and support a small group of approximately 13 learnersCreate engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needsMonitor learner progress and provide ongoing support and feedback Friday - Supported Internship Programme
Work with a small group of 6 learnersSupport learners who spend four days per week in a workplace settingDeliver English and Maths development alongside employability and life skillsWork collaboratively with workplace staff to develop learners' confidence, independence and workplace readinessSupport learners in achieving positive outcomes and progression opportunities The Ideal Candidate Level 3 Teaching Qualification or equivalentExperience delivering English and/or Maths Functional SkillsExperience supporting young people aged 16-19Strong understanding of employability skills and learner progressionExperience supporting learners with additional needs or EHCPs would be advantageousExcellent communication and classroom management skillsPassion for helping young people achieve their potential What Prospero Teaching Can Offer Long-term block booking with consistency of workWeekly payDedicated consultant supportOpportunity to make a genuine difference to young people's futuresOngoing training and professional development opportunities Contract Details Location: FromeDays: Wednesday, Thursday and FridayHours: Daytime hoursStart Date: ASAPContract Type: Long-term block bookingApplication: Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one) If you are an enthusiastic tutor looking to support young people in developing their English, Maths and employability skills, we would love to hear from you.
