A well-established and respected engineering business based in West Bromwich is currently seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer with experience working on AC/DC electric motors. The Role
As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, repair, and overhaul of AC/DC motors and associated equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong fault-finding skills and a solid mechanical and electrical background.
Key Responsibilities
Service, repair, and rewind AC/DC electric motorsDiagnose electrical and mechanical faults effectivelyStrip, inspect, and rebuild motors and rotating equipmentCarry out testing to ensure performance and reliabilityWork from engineering drawings, schematics, and specificationsMaintain accurate job records and ensure high-quality standardsAdhere to workshop health & safety procedures Requirements
Proven experience working with AC/DC motors in a workshop environmentStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsMechanical and electrical engineering knowledgeExperience with motor rewinding (desirable but not essential)Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagramsSelf-motivated, reliable, and quality-focused What’s on Offer
