Academics are working with a number of mainstream primary and secondary schools across East Sussex that have dedicated specialist SEN provisions, and we're looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their SEN experience while working within a supportive school environment.
The role You could be supporting pupils with:
Autism / ASDSpeech and Language NeedsSocial Communication NeedsADHDSensory needsLearning difficultiesSEMHEHCPsBehavioural and emotional needs Depending on the school, you may work within a small specialist base, supporting pupils individually or in small groups before helping them access wider mainstream activities where appropriate.
We're looking for: Previous experience supporting children or young peopleA genuine interest in SENA calm and patient approachExcellent communication skillsSomeone who can build positive relationshipsReliability and consistencyA willingness to learn and develop Experience of ASD, SEN, education, care, youth work or support work would be advantageous.
