Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bedfordshire based client to recruit for a Buyer.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of products and the associated supply base.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain and develop effective supplier relationshipsManagement of internal stakeholdersManagement of you assigned commodities to ensure continuity of supplyMonitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability across your product portfolioImplement opportunities to improve, service, cost, and inventoryProvide updates on any supply issues, risk and shortages
Skills and Experience:
Experience in a Buying rolePrevious experience in a Manufacturing environmentExperience in using ERP/MRP systemsUnderstanding of inventory management principlesStrong organisation skills
