Annual Salary: £55,000 per annum plus benefits Location: Baker Street, LondonJob Type: Full-time (4 days per week in the office) Our client is a leading real estate investment company in London's West End, managing a portfolio of prime global locations. They are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Accountant to enhance their finance team. This role would suit a recently qualified Accountant who is making their first move from practice into industry.
Day-to-day of the role:
Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management accounts.Oversee general ledger functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.Ensure compliance with tax legislation and accounting standards, including VAT, CIS, and corporation tax obligations.Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making.Coordinate audit activities and manage internal controls to safeguard company assets. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA).At least 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a commercial or corporate finance environment.Proficient in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end closing processes.Experience with accounting software or ERP systems such as Epicor, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.Advanced or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
