We're recruiting for an Accounts & Billing Assistant to join a well-established professional services organisation in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to gain exposure to a broad range of finance, billing and reporting responsibilities.
What You'll Be Doing
• Generating and issuing client invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reviewing billing instructions and ensuring compliance with procedures
• Producing billing reports and management information
• Supporting fee earners with financial and client-related reporting
• Processing supplier invoices and maintaining the purchase ledger
• Reconciling control accounts
• Assisting with monthly management accounts
• Liaising with Credit Control and internal stakeholders regarding outstanding balances
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
What We're Looking For
• Previous finance, billing or accounts administration experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems
• A methodical and proactive approach to work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
