Academics are urgently recruiting a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant for a specialist SEN school in Islington supporting pupils aged 9-18 with PMLD and physical disabilities.
Role Details: * Full-time, term-time only * £95-£105 per day * ASAP (trials available now) * Full academic year (temp to perm potential)
The Role: * 1:1 and small group support * Supporting pupils with complex needs, mobility, and sensory requirements * Assisting with personal care and manual handling (training provided) * Using structured routines and communication strategies (e.g. PECS/AAC) * Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SENCO
The School: * Specialist PMLD setting with excellent staff-to-pupil ratios * Strong focus on care, communication, and independence * Supportive team and clear structure
Ideal Candidate: * Calm, patient, and resilient * Comfortable with personal care * Interest in SEN, therapy, or care pathways * Experience in care/SEN desirable
