Role Overview As an Android Architect, you will lead the design and architecture of DAZN’s Android. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scalable solutions, ensure technical excellence, and evolve the platform to meet DAZN’s global growth and innovation goals. You will be hands-on in setting coding standards, mentoring developers, and driving architectural decisions for performance, maintainability, and reliability. Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Android and Android TV applications. Define best practices, frameworks, and reusable components to ensure consistency and scalability across teams. Partner with product, design, and backend engineering teams to translate business needs into robust, high-performance solutions. Drive technical design reviews, performance optimization, and system scalability improvements. Architect integrations with APIs, content delivery systems, and playback pipelines (HLS, DRM, adaptive streaming). Ensure security, resiliency, and maintainability of applications through strong architectural governance. Guide teams on modern Android patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture) and Jetpack Compose adoption. Contribute to DAZN’s engineering culture, mentoring engineers and fostering innovation.
