Business unit, Department, Reporting Business Unit Solutions Department EAS - Outsource Job grade OP1 Core Description Responsible to code and debug new software products in alignment with BCX’s standards and work on less complex projects or modules of projects. Key Deliverables / Primary Functions Provide applications support by means of broad area competence, investigates problems and other requests for support and determines appropriate actions to take. Ensure all work is performed, documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures. Participate in client meetings, assist in presenting issues and solutions Use database management tools to investigate, diagnose and resolve database problems in accordance with service level agreements, referring to database users and suppliers as and when necessary. Execute routine configuration/installation, reconfiguration of database and related products in alignment with BCX’s standards for software installations. Respond to instructions, follow agreed plans to install or remove items of software (typically those requiring greatest expertise in installation) and find the necessary items. Participate in the configuration of software and equipment for systems testing of platform specific versions of one or more software products with minimum supervision. Design large and/or complex programs, program modifications from supplied specifications using agreed standards & tools, to achieve a well-engineered result. Report on work executed and contribute significant sections of material that is of publication quality. Interpret and execute complex test plans using agreed methods and standards. Document test failures and successes compared with pre-defined criteria, in accordance with agreed standards.
