Business unit, Department, Reporting Business Unit Operate Department ITOC Job grade OP1 Core Description The Junior BI Developer supports the design, development, testing and maintenance of business intelligence reports, dashboards and data solutions. Working under the guidance of senior BI resources, the role gathers reporting requirements, prepares and validates data, develops visualizations, resolves basic defects and maintains supporting documentation. The position contributes to reliable operational reporting and continuous improvement while complying with approved data, security and development standards. Key Deliverables / Primary Functions • Requirements Support: Assist with gathering, documenting and clarifying reporting and dashboard requirements. • Report and Dashboard Development: Develop and maintain standard reports, dashboards and visualizations using approved BI tools and templates. • Data Preparation: Extract, transform, clean and organize data from approved sources for reporting and analysis. • Data Quality Validation: Perform data checks, reconcile report outputs and escalate material data quality or definition issues. • Testing and Defect Resolution: Execute unit and functional tests, record evidence and correct basic report or dashboard defects. • BI Support: Provide first-line support for assigned BI solutions, investigate incidents and refer complex issues to senior team members. • Documentation : Maintain report specifications, data definitions, test records, user guidance and change documentation. • Continuous Learning: Build technical capability in BI development, data modelling, SQL and visualization through coaching, training and practical delivery. Relevant internship, graduate programme, academic project or practical exposure will be considered. Or 5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, SQL or dashboard development. Certifications ITIL framework, Foundation v3 / v4 Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry Level of Engagement & Span of Control Span of Control 0 Level of Engagement Engagement will all levels within the organisation, internal and external to the business.
