Job SummaryYou will serve as a AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (GENERAL) in the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Production Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO INSPECT 1.Reviewing log books of aircraft or engines to obtain such information as number of hours flown, location and conditions of operating (as, for example, whether carrier or land based), any crash damage sustained, incorporation of changes, routine discrepancies, and other factors significant to determining the required depth of overhaul. 2. Through functional testing and visual examination, determines the condition of the aircraft, aircraft engines, or component. 3. Determining extent of disassembly and required repairs. 4. Generating appropriate documentation in accordance with policies and procedures list for all other discrepancies. 5. Estimating material and man-hour requirements to make beyond economical and buy versus repair decisions. 6. Completing paper work to effect proper routing and sequence of work through shops in accordance with decisions made on depth of overhaul required. 7. Providing lists of items which are missing or beyond economical repair so that replacements will be made available through the supply system.
