NOW HIRING: Welders – Methil (Navantia UK)
Navantia UK, a key player in advanced shipbuilding and heavy fabrication, is expanding its workforce in Methil and is looking for skilled Time-Served Welders to join our team.
✔️ Required Qualifications
Time-served welder – 4G minimumSVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)✔️ Essential Welding Experience
Strong experience with FCAWAbility to weld in all positions – Butts & FilletsExperience working with ceramic backing tiles✔️ Advantageous (But Not Essential) Experience
SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)MCAWMechanised welding systemsIf you do not currently hold personal welder codings, in‑house weld testing is available.
🧪 Welder Qualification Test (ISO 9606‑1)
Process: 136 / FCAW
You will be tested on:
PF / Vertical Up – Root, Fill & CapPA / PE – Flat Root (basic cored wire) / Overhead Fill & CapCeramic backing tile for root passSupplementary PB / Flat fillet weldAll testing is witnessed by Navantia UK personnel and an IACS representative.
📍 Location
Methil, Fife – working on major UK maritime and industrial projects.
