Accountable Recruitment are working with a hugely successful business in Liverpool to recruit a talented Financial Accountant, who has recently qualified within a Big 4 / top 10 audit firm to join its finance team during an exciting stage of growth.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified ACA or ACCA candidate looking to make their first move from practice into industry. Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will gain broad exposure across all aspects of finance and play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business.

The Role
As Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of the financial reporting cycle while acting as a key support to the wider finance function.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparation of monthly management accountsProduction of statutory financial statementsSupporting the year-end audit process and liaising with external auditorsCorporation tax, VAT and other regulatory compliance requirementsFinancial planning and analysis activities, including reporting and business performance reviewBalance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of strong financial controlsSupporting budgeting and forecasting processesIdentifying and implementing process improvements across the finance functionActing as a key point of contact for finance-related queries across the businessProviding guidance and support to transactional finance team members when requiredWorking closely with operational stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and commercial teams About You
Fully qualified ACA or ACCAUp to date knowledge of FRS102Strong technical accounting knowledge gained within an accountancy practice environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsProactive approach with a continuous improvement mindsetStrong problem-solving ability with a practical approach Why Join?
