Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.Prepare accurate financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.Support strategic planning by providing financial forecasts and analysis.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved financial efficiency.Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making.Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors when required. A successful Financial Controller should have:
A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.Proven experience in financial management, ideally within the transport and distribution sector.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and leadership abilities.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
