My Client are one of the leading manufacturers in their industry. Based from their site in Wythenshawe, Manchester.
They are looking for Production/Machine operatives to join their team on a temp to perm basis.
Duties associated with this position are as follows:
Process wire as required on the Works Order card and to the standard requiredMaintain high standards of housekeeping in your work areaWear PPE as required by company policy and appropriate to your taskComplete RALF Forms whenever you identify a hazard or potential hazard. Take action yourself if safe and competent to do so to clear the hazard or potential hazardCheck machinery over prior to start up ensuring that it is in working order and machine guarding and interlocks are working effectivelyReport any defects in equipment ensuring that safety issues in particular are treated with priorityEnsure that the feed wire is sufficient and correct to the Job Card and ensure that traceability of all material is achieved o Set machinery to achieve the standard, test wire at start up to ensure it meets the standard and at required intervals during the running of the process.Label each completed reel/drum pack of wire ensuring that it is readily identifiable and full traceability back to the raw material is achieved There will be some basic data input requirements so computer literacy is important. Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 16.30 and Friday 07:30 to 12:00 12 week temp to perm. Safety boots required. This is a production based position and heavy lifting can be part of the day to day duties.
