£30,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an ambitious Facilities & Maintenance Assistant to join our client in Andover. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and provided general site facilities repairs.
Facilities & Maintenance AssistantRoles and Responsibilities:
Carry out general site/factory repairs, upkeep and other jobs to maintain and improve the working areaDevelop knowledge and expertise across a diverse range of equipment, from steam boiler heating systems to hydraulic pressesCarry out maintenance activities on machinery and electro-mechanical systemsTake ownership of problem-solving and root cause analysis to help identify faults and prevent recurring issuesPrioritise and manage workload effectively in line with operational requirementsMaintain high standards of Health & Safety, following procedures and keeping work areas safe, clean and organisedFollow quality and administrative procedures accurately, with strong attention to detailVisit both factory sites as required Facilities & Maintenance AssistantIdeal Candidate:
Understanding of electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and machinery maintenanceGood organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practice within a machinery or maintenance environmentA clean, valid driving licence, as travel between the two factory sites will occasionally be required Facilities & Maintenance AssistantQualifications:
City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualificationA good understanding of Health & Safety within a maintenance environment Working Hours and Benefits:
£30,000 per annum23 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidaysCompany pension following successful completion of the 3-month probationary periodOngoing training and career development opportunities
