Vehicle Technician / Semi-Skilled Technician
Southend-on-Sea, Essex
£50,000– £55,000 OTE
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Alternate Saturdays: 8:00am – 1:00pm
A major automotive group is expanding its Southend operation and is looking for Vehicle Technicians and Semi-Skilled Technicians (Level 3 qualified) to join a growing manufacturer-backed workshop.
This is not a repetitive fast-fit role. You’ll be working within a modern franchised environment carrying out servicing, diagnostics, warranty repairs, maintenance and fault finding on a busy and expanding passenger car operation.
The business is investing heavily in its technical team, equipment and manufacturer training programme, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and significantly increase earnings.
What you’ll be doing
Service, maintain and repair customer vehiclesCarry out diagnostics and fault-finding using manufacturer equipmentComplete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer proceduresPerform mechanical, electrical and general workshop repairsEnsure work is completed efficiently and to a high standardWork closely with the workshop and service teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes What we’re looking for
NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & RepairPrevious experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Semi-Skilled TechnicianGood understanding of diagnostics and modern vehicle systemsExperience with warranty procedures is highly desirableMOT Tester would be an advantage, but not essentialFull UK manual driving licence (max 3 points) What’s on offer
