Ourclient based in Lanarkshire is looking for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join theirteam for Winter Gritting between October-March. Weekly standby rates & callout rates.
Your new role
You'll be driving theWinter Gritters to treat roads during icy and snowy conditions. You'll followplanned routes and respond to call-outs when needed. Shifts include nights andweekends.
Main duties include:
Operating HGV Class 2 gritting vehiclesCarrying out vehicle checksCompleting basic paperworkWorking flexibly across shifts What you'll need to succeed
Valid HGV Class 2/7.5 tonne licenceCPC and TachographWillingness to work in all weather conditionsPrevious experience is helpful but not essential What you'll get in return
Weekly standby rates & call out rates for nights/weekendsCall out rates: time and a half Mon-Sat, double time SunTraining providedSupportive team and well-maintained vehicles What you need to do now
