Credit Controller
Location: Acle, Norwich Salary: £29,000 + 8% Bonus Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days working from home Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (flexibility available) Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, free on-site parking
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a growing, technology-focused business within the transport and mobility sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive finance team where you will take ownership of your own customer accounts, build strong relationships and play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow.
The Role
Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
Proactively chasing overdue debt via telephone and email.
Monitoring aged debt reports and escalating high-risk accounts where necessary.
Handling customer queries and resolving payment disputes efficiently.
Issuing customer statements, payment reminders and payment links.
Posting and allocating incoming payments.
Reconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepancies.
Carrying out credit checks and supporting credit risk assessments.
Preparing aged debt and cash collection reports.
Assisting with month-end and year-end finance processes.
About You
Previous experience working within a Credit Control position.
Strong debt collection experience with excellent negotiation skills.
Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Good numerical skills and strong attention to detail.
Competent using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Highly organised with the ability to manage your own workload.
A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience using ERP systems would be advantageous.
Previous experience within a fast-paced finance environment would be beneficial.
