We are recruiting for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a well established Yorkshire engineering consultancy, offering the opportunity to develop your technical skills, gain hands on project experience and build a long term career within the industry.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial projects, gaining exposure to structural design, analysis and assessment across a range of building types and materials.
Whether you're a recent graduate or have some relevant experience, this is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your technical knowledge, take on increasing responsibility and develop within a supportive and collaborative team.
Hybrid working is available following successful completion of probation.
What You Will Be Doing Carry out structural analysis, design calculations and assessments across steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures.Assist in developing safe, practical and cost-effective structural engineering solutions.Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.Support structural inspections, site surveys and assessments of existing buildings.Work closely with experienced structural engineers and technicians, learning from their knowledge and expertise.Contribute to projects from initial design through to completion.Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders as your experience develops.Build your technical capability and take on greater responsibility as your career progresses. What We Are Looking For A degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline, with a strong structural engineering focus.A sound understanding of structural engineering principles, analysis and design.An interest in working with structural materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry.An awareness of relevant UK design codes and industry standards.Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work.A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine ambition to develop.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
