Your new company A well-established and growing organisation is seeking a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to support key record-to-report activities within a busy finance function and make an immediate impact.
Your new role Reporting to the finance manager, you will be responsible for supporting the month-end process and delivering accurate financial information to support business decision-making.Key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accountsPerforming balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variancesSupporting the month-end and year-end close processMaintaining accurate financial records and ensuring accounting controls are followedPreparing and posting journals, accruals and prepaymentsAnalysing financial data and providing reports to stakeholdersAssisting with budgeting and forecasting activitiesSupporting record-to-report processes across the wider finance functionWorking collaboratively with operational and finance teams to resolve queries What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:
Part-qualified status (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant management accounting experiencePrevious experience within a management accounting, assistant management accounting or assistant accountant roleExperience supporting month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliationsStrong Excel skills and confidence working with financial dataExcellent attention to detail and analytical skillsThe ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships What you'll get in return
