Description
Process invoices and ensure timely and accurate entries into the accounting system.Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.Prepare and process payment runs, including BACs and cheque payments.Maintain and update accurate supplier records.Handle queries from suppliers and internal teams professionally and efficiently.Assist in month-end processes, including ledger reconciliations and reporting.Support the wider finance team with administrative tasks as required.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal procedures. A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger or accounts payable role.Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.A methodical approach to tasks with the ability to prioritise effectively.Knowledge of financial processes and regulations.
