Your new company You will be joining a well-established and growing organisation based in Cardiff, operating within a fast-paced and commercially focused environment.Due to continued growth and investment, the business is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support the finance function and provide accurate, meaningful financial information to key stakeholders across the organisation.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or qualified-by-experience finance professional seeking a broad role with exposure to reporting, business partnering, financial controls and process improvement.Your new role Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process whilst supporting operational teams with financial insight and analysis.This is a varied and hands-on role, combining financial reporting, cashflow management, budgeting and continuous improvement responsibilities.Key responsibilities will include:
Producing accurate and timely monthly management accountsPosting journals and maintaining supporting documentationPreparing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepanciesMaintaining the fixed asset registerManaging weekly payment runs and supporting cashflow forecastingProducing variance analysis and commentary against budgetSupporting budget preparation and financial planning activitiesPerforming cost analysis and providing financial insight to stakeholdersPreparing and submitting VAT and CIS returnsSupporting year-end audit activities and responding to auditor queriesReviewing and improving finance processes, controls and systemsSupporting and guiding junior finance team membersProviding ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support business decision-making What you'll need to succeed QualificationsApplications are welcomed from:
