Year 2 Teaching Assistant (Tuesday Only)

Reed Education is recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Greenwich for a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a consistent weekly basis every Tuesday.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development and is confident working within a classroom environment where pupils have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The Role
As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils in their learning both individually and in small groupsDeliver phonics and guided reading sessionsWork closely alongside the class teacher to support pupil progressAssist in creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environmentSupport children with a range of SEND needsHelp ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and reach their full potential Essential Requirements
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school settingStrong knowledge and practical experience of the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised phonics programmeExperience leading phonics and reading intervention groupsConfidence supporting pupils with SENDExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting children What We Offer
