Description
As Warehouse Supervisor based in Biggleswade, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a busy outbound warehouse function, managing a team of 50+ colleagues to ensure customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and on time.
Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will drive performance, develop team capability, and support the delivery of key operational objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading daily warehouse operations to achieve productivity, quality and service targetsManaging and motivating a large operational team across picking, packing and dispatch activitiesMonitoring KPIs and implementing actions to improve performanceDriving continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse processesConducting team briefings and communicating operational prioritiesCoaching, mentoring and developing team membersManaging attendance, performance and employee relations mattersEnsuring compliance with health & safety standards and best practicePromoting a culture of accountability, engagement and operational excellenceSupporting warehouse projects and business improvement initiatives Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability and a passion for developing people within a fast-paced logistics environment.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Manager or Logistics Supervisor roleExperience managing medium to large operational teamsStrong understanding of warehouse and distribution processesA proven track record of driving productivity and operational performanceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience managing performance, absence and employee relations mattersA proactive and hands-on management styleGood IT skills, including experience with warehouse management systemsA commitment to health & safety and continuous improvement Job Offer
