Manage the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet, ensuring optimal performance.Organise regular maintenance and servicing schedules for all vehicles.Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations.Oversee vehicle procurement, replacements and disposals as needed.Track and analyse fleet performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.Coordinate with the logistics team to optimise vehicle usage and minimise downtime.Manage budgets related to fleet operations and identify cost-saving opportunities.Ensure the safety and training of drivers and other fleet-related personnel. A successful Fleet Manager should have:
Proven experience in fleet management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.Experience in managing maintenance schedules and vehicle procurement.Proficiency in analysing fleet performance data and implementing improvements.Strong communication skills to liaise with drivers and logistics teams effectively.A proactive approach to ensuring the safety and training of staff.
