About this role
We are a contracting firm working in the Baltimore and DC Metro areas and surrounding counties specializing in high end award winning projects including theaters and complete renovation and remodeling projects.
We are looking for a full-time Junior Carpenter with 3 to 5 years of experience to assist our Gramophone Design & Build team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Complete carpentry related projects, including but not limited to kitchens, basements, and remodelingFramingDrywallFinish carpentry including installation of trim/millwork, wall panels, casework and cabinetryDoor installationCrown mouldingMinor demolition required on some projectsRequirements:
Personal set of tools, including hand tools and basic power tools, to use on the job3 to 5 years of experience in carpentry
Ability to read and understand building plans and specificationsAbility to work efficiently while delivering top quality workmanship Excellent time and schedule managementGood problem solving skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given timeAbility to motivate associates and team membersAbility to work effectively with trade subcontractors and material suppliersAbility to communicate with division manager to maintain timely project scheduling and completeness
