About this role
We are looking for a Functional Analyst to play a key role in designing, documenting, and supporting critical applications that automate the management of power asset portfolios and asset-backed trading. This scope covers all power asset technologies, including thermal, nuclear, renewable, and battery storage.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Identifying and analyzing business and functional requirements for portfolio management and trading applicationsWriting functional specifications, technical requirements, and end-user support documentationDeveloping user stories, acceptance criteria, and business test cases for new features, ensuring smooth implementation and solid unit-test coverageActing as the first point of contact for internal users, onboarding them and making sure they get the most out of the team's toolsRunning regression tests manually, and automating them through Python scriptingContributing to small development tasks on end-user Python applications Experience with energy markets (power is a must) and power plant technologies, and how they fit into asset management and tradingBasic understanding of financial products, including the options life-cycle (payoff, exercise, etc.)Proficiency in Python, SQL, and MS ExcelFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure)Strong analytical mindset, comfortable breaking down complex problems and turning them into clear, actionable insightsA proactive, creative approach to problem-solvingExcellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt to different audiencesA genuine team playerRequirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, Software Developer, Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data ScientistFluent English (required)French or Dutch is a plusHybrid setup, with at least 2 days per week in the office All our positions are open to both women and men and are, of course, open to people with disabilities.
