We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highway Design Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India. As a key member of our engineering department, you will lead the design and development of complex highway projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Develop and oversee comprehensive highway design plans, including alignment, grading, drainage, and traffic control systemsUtilize advanced highway design software to create detailed 3D models and construction drawingsConduct thorough analysis of traffic patterns, environmental impacts, and safety considerations to optimize design solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including environmental specialists, geotechnical engineers, and construction managersEnsure compliance with local, state, and national highway design standards and regulationsManage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver high-quality designs on scheduleMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design teamPrepare and present technical reports, design proposals, and project updates to clients and stakeholdersStay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in highway design and engineering Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required; Master's degree preferredProfessional Engineering (PE) license10 years or more experience in highway design and engineering, with a proven track record of successful large-scale infrastructure projectsAdvanced proficiency in highway design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStationStrong knowledge of traffic analysis software and techniquesIn-depth understanding of highway design principles, construction methods, and materialsFamiliarity with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategiesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detailStrong project management abilities, including resource allocation and budget controlEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with team members and presenting to clientsExperience with local and national highway design standards and regulationsRelevant certifications in highway design or transportation engineering are a plus
