We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer - Geotechnical to join our organization in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead geotechnical engineering projects, provide technical expertise, and mentor junior team members. You will be responsible for analyzing complex soil and foundation challenges, designing sustainable solutions, and ensuring compliance with Indian building codes and international standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Conduct comprehensive geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, laboratory testing, and ground characterization analysisDesign and analyze foundations, slopes, and underground structures using advanced geotechnical software and modeling techniquesPerform slope stability analysis and assess geotechnical hazards to ensure project safety and compliancePrepare detailed technical reports, design calculations, and recommendations for construction projectsSupervise field work, coordinate with contractors, and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to geotechnical specificationsUtilize AutoCAD and specialized geotechnical software (PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLIDE) to develop models and solutionsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural engineers, architects, and project managersReview and interpret geological and hydrogeological data to inform engineering decisionsMentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and fostering professional developmentEnsure all projects comply with Indian building codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsManage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining quality standards 8+ years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering with demonstrated expertise in soil mechanics and foundation designStrong knowledge of geotechnical analysis, site investigation methodologies, and ground characterization techniquesProficiency with geotechnical software including PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLIDE, or equivalent modeling toolsAdvanced proficiency in AutoCAD and other design softwareComprehensive understanding of slope stability analysis and groundwater managementExperience with laboratory testing procedures and interpretation of geotechnical test resultsProven field work experience and site supervision capabilitiesExcellent technical writing and report preparation skillsThorough knowledge of Indian building codes and standards (IS codes)Strong analytical and problem-solving skill setProject management experience with ability to manage multiple concurrent projectsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesPreferred: Experience in tunneling, underground construction, or advanced geotechnical modelingPreferred: Familiarity with international geotechnical standards and best practicesPreferred: Experience mentoring and developing junior engineering staff
