We are seeking a Senior Utility Engineer to join our operations team at our port and terminal facility in Kuwait. In this role, you will oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of all utility systems that support our port operations. You will lead a team of technicians while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational excellence. This is a key position for a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in utility systems management within a port or terminal environment.
Manage and oversee all utility systems including electrical, water, HVAC, compressed air, and fuel distribution networksDevelop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure system reliabilityConduct technical troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve utility system failuresSupervise and mentor a team of utility technicians, providing guidance on maintenance procedures and safety protocolsEnsure compliance with local and international safety regulations, environmental standards, and operational proceduresPrepare and manage utility system budgets, including capital expenditure planning and cost optimization initiativesCoordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment repairs, upgrades, and installationsMonitor energy consumption and implement efficiency improvement measuresMaintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, system performance, and equipment specificationsRespond to emergency situations and coordinate rapid resolution of critical utility failuresCollaborate with port operations and engineering teams to support facility expansion and infrastructure improvementsConduct regular safety audits and training sessions for utility department staff Minimum 15 years of experience in utility systems management, preferably in a port, terminal, or industrial facility environmentProven expertise in electrical systems, water treatment, HVAC, and compressed air systemsStrong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practicesDemonstrated experience with PLC/SCADA systems and industrial control systemsProficiency with AutoCAD or similar design and documentation softwareExperience in budget management and cost controlProven leadership and team supervision skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent organizational and project management skillsKnowledge of port/terminal operations and infrastructure requirementsFamiliarity with safety regulations and compliance standards applicable to port facilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred: ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 certificationPreferred: Advanced knowledge of energy efficiency optimization and renewable energy systemsPreferred: Experience with vendor and contractor management
