About this role
Design LV/MV power distribution, auxiliary substations, emergency and standby power (generators, UPS), lighting, earthing, bonding and lightning protection.Prepare and check load schedules and calculations: voltage drop, short circuit, protection coordination, lighting and earthing.Manage interfaces with traction power, signalling, telecoms, SCADA, tunnel ventilation, MEP, fire protection and civil.Prepare design packages for DEWA, ADDC/TAQA and Civil Defence submissions.Produce and review design reports, specifications, single line diagrams, layouts and supplier submittals.Provide remote technical support during construction, testing and commissioning, including responses to site queries.Mentor junior engineers and support the UAE team in technical discussions with the client and consultants when needed. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. A master's degree or chartered status is a plus.10–15 years of electrical design experience, mostly on rail, metro or HSR projects.Hands-on design experience across stations, tunnels, viaducts, cut-and-cover and at-grade sections.GCC or UAE rail project experience is preferred.
