Job Title: Bundle Shop HelperJob DescriptionThe Bundle Shop Helper supports daily operations in a busy fabrication facility by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop environment and assisting with material handling and general labor tasks. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined individual who is comfortable with physically demanding work and using a variety of hand and power tools in an industrial setting.Responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the shop, including walkways, workstations, and common areas to ensure a safe and organized environment • Collect, organize, and properly store rigging equipment, tools, materials, and production supplies to support efficient operations • Sweep, mop, and clean shop floors and surrounding work areas on a regular basis • Empty trash receptacles, clean breakrooms, and maintain designated employee areas in a neat and orderly condition • Assist with material movement and organization throughout the facility, including handling and staging materials for production teams • Follow all company safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times • Support production teams with general labor tasks, including equipment disassembly and shop support, as assigned • Use hand and power tools such as grinders, impact guns, torque machines, pneumatic tools, and jackhammers as needed for shop support activities • Assist with inventory organization and industrial cleaning and sanitation tasks within the facility • Work safely around overhead cranes and heavy equipment, maintaining awareness of surroundings and adhering to established protocols • Perform additional duties as needed to support overall shop operations and productivity Essential Skills
• Experience using hand and power tools, including grinders, impact guns, torque machines, pneumatic tools, and jackhammers • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift, including frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials • Capability to follow established procedures and safety protocols while working independently • Strong work ethic and reliability, with consistent attendance and dependable performance • Good communication and teamwork skills to effectively support production and shop personnel • Comfort working in industrial conditions that may include noise, temperature changes, dust, and outdoor exposure • Ability and willingness to wear a respirator when required and to remain clean-shaven where the respirator seals against the face, subject to applicable medical clearance requirements • Basic mechanical aptitude and mechanical inclination to work effectively with tools and equipment • Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival for scheduled shifts Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, construction, or industrial environments • Experience in steel fabrication shops or similar heavy industrial settings • Rigging experience and familiarity with rigging equipment and practices • Forklift operation experience • Warehouse experience, including material handling and inventory organization • Construction labor experience in physically demanding roles • Industrial cleaning and sanitation experience in shop or plant environments • Respirator-qualified status or willingness to complete respirator qualification processes • Experience working around overhead cranes or heavy equipment in an industrial facility • Willingness to work overtime, including potential weekend shifts during outage work Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benicia, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
