THE JOB: The primary responsibility of the Convention Services and Catering Coordinator is to provide administrative and clerical support to the department.
THE STARTING RATE: $19.00
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
• Provide excellent service consistent with the property's core service standards and brand • Partner with managers to have a thorough understanding of each program assigned. • Answer and direct all incoming telephone calls with a smile; assist in responding to customer correspondence and requests • Prepare guest reservations and guest amenities • Input program information into Amadeus/Delphi including notes, events, updates, etc. • Maintain files and access to highly sensitive and confidential information • Assist in the handling of clients of the assigned Director and/or Manager as needed in his/her absence • Manage catering inquiries, including phone and email communication with clients • Prepare and distribute the Daily Event Sheet from the BEOs to all departments • Complete and distribute reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis • Accurately prepare the BEOs to meet specifications given by clients and/or Managers and process all changes in a timely manner
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience in a related position, or equivalent education and experience • Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent • Must be 18 years of age or older
