About this role
The Line Cook will be expected to complete job duties as requested in a prompt and organized fashion, abiding by the standard checklist and quality specifications as provided by the Supervisor.
Prepare quality, consistent and well-presented food items to company standardEnsure all guidelines and recipes are met and adhered toComplete all specified opening set up, closing shut down and side dutiesPrepare and stock for daily operationMaintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace and equipmentAssist teammates whenever necessary Ensure a sense of urgency with all tasksBe aware of and report necessary maintenance to supervisorPractice proper food safety procedures and safe work environment standardsMaintain a good working relationship with all departmentsAttends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementComplete all other duties as assigned by Supervisor One year experience preferred Flexible schedule; including daytime, evenings and weekendsCertificates required Food Handler and WHMISAbility to work efficiently and consistently in a fast paced environmentStrong interpersonal and verbal communication skillsMust posses a positive attitude and work well with other team membersMust be able to work unsupervised Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnelOutstanding organizational and time managementPhysically fit and can carry light loads up to 40 poundsBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) Be able to work in a hot, and loud environment for long periods of timeStrong sense of ethics, valuesPassionate about food, wine and all things service relatedResults drivenEnergetic and enthusiasticProfessional appearanceLegally eligible to work in Canada All job descriptions are subject to a periodic review.
