About this role
Event Servers play a key role in the execution of special events. They assist with setup and breakdown, deliver food and beverage service with efficiency and professionalism, and help maintain a clean, organized event space. Event Servers are knowledgeable about the event menu and are expected to monitor food quality and presentation, while providing attentive service throughout the event.
The day to day:
Assist with event setup and breakdown, ensuring the venue is guest-readyDeliver food and beverages promptly and professionally throughout the eventMaintain cleanliness by clearing plates, glassware, and cutlery throughout serviceProvide an exceptional guest experience by following service standards and steps of serviceBe knowledgeable about all menu items to answer questions and make recommendationsMonitor food presentation and quality throughout the eventEnsure accuracy when entering orders into the POS system (if applicable)Maintain a clean and organized section, free of clutter at all timesFollow all food safety and sanitation guidelinesStay aware of guest allergies or special requests and communicate them clearly to the teamComplete all opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and safelySupport the team and venue with other tasks as required Minimum 1 year of serving or banquet experience (preferred)Smart Serve certification (required)Exceptional attention to detail and cleanlinessAbility to stay calm, focused, and efficient under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and multitasking skillsConfident verbal and written communication abilitiesProfessional presence with a sense of urgency and momentumFlexible availability, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidaysFull time positionLegally eligible to work in Canada This is a current vacancy
Wage: $17.95 (+ gratuities)
