About this role
Assist in the implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies to support Octopus Australia’s renewable energy assets and new projects. This includes a diverse portfolio of projects across development, construction and operational phasesDeliver communication plans to support Asset, Construction and Development project leadsLead engagement activities that promote Octopus Australia as a trustworthy, credible, and responsible partnerCoordinate and attend key stakeholder engagement activities such as community consultation sessions, local events and provide sponsorship representationWork with the Stakeholder Engagement Manager to manage community funding programs to deliver meaningful benefits to the communities in which Octopus Australia operatesAdministering and maintaining stakeholder databasesProvide crisis communications and media relations support as requiredBuild trusting relationships and grow Octopus Australia’s social licence to operate in the communities we have a presence Ideally, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
Previous experience in a similar position working in the renewable energy sector is preferred. Experience in large scale infrastructure projects such as electricity transmission or oil and gas will be well regarded.Experienced in implementing stakeholder engagement activities for a diverse set of stakeholders.Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships across a diverse range stakeholders.Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and deliver results across Octopus Australia’s project portfolio.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Experience of using a variety of communication channels to appropriately communicate with the target group.Demonstrated experience in planning and managing project events.Willingness to travel domestically to deliver on engagement strategies and plans as required.Eligibility to work in Australia.
