JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the O-I Global Service Delivery team, this role will be responsible for leveraging and enhancing global manufacturing applications. This person will receive requirements from solutions analysts and business stakeholders, convert those requirements into a technical design and deliver those requirements in the form of custom development. Success in this role is determined by on-time and accurate delivery of the capabilities in scope.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Learn and maintain comprehensive understanding of business functions, manufacturing systems such as GMIS Shopfloor, EASIER, Enterprise Monitor, related technologies and other solutions as needed.Collaborate with business partners and global process teams to develop and validate business requirements for new functionality or enhancements.Drive consistency across platforms by ensuring that the business rules are consistently appliedDocument design specifications, configuration, testing and training plans; share/validate them with IT and business users for review and sign-off; and oversee completion of the sameRecommend inventive and creative solutions to solve business problemsMaintain production system reliability through utilization of change management processDevelop competence by performing structured work assignmentsEffectively communicate project and support work related status, including global knowledge sharing with peers and across IT
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience3+ years’ experience with:.NET C# development and knowledge of MS technologiesWeb technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJava and related APIs and mainstream libraries (JPA) Optional SQL, relational databases (MS SQL Server)Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them to technical and business problems.English B2SCOPE AND IMPACT
The developer will be responsible for receiving business requirements, transforming them into a technical design and delivering those requirements in the form of custom development. The job will require the individual to be versed in .NET C#, JavaScript, Java and related libraries, tools and technologies; have good people skills; and have the ability to communicate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
