We are seeking a motivated and efficient DNG2 - Driver Express // Delivery Driver to join our team in Derby, United Kingdom. As a key member of our delivery operations, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate package deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
Load and organize packages in delivery vehicles for efficient distributionSafely operate a delivery van, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocolsNavigate routes using GPS technology and local knowledge to optimize delivery efficiencyDeliver packages to residential and commercial addresses, including carrying items up stairs when necessaryInteract professionally with customers, addressing any concerns and maintaining a positive attitudeUtilize electronic devices for route guidance, package tracking, and delivery confirmationMaintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any issues encountered during shiftsConduct basic vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptlyAdapt to changing weather conditions and delivery volumes to meet daily targetsCollaborate with dispatch and customer service teams to resolve any delivery-related issues Must be self-employed and able to manage independent contractor responsibilitiesFull and valid UK or EU Manual Driving License with a maximum of 6 points (NO active IN, DR, or TT codes)Excellent driving record and adherence to road safety regulationsPhysical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyProficient communication skills in EnglishCustomer service-oriented with a professional and friendly demeanorFamiliarity with Derby and surrounding areas, including local roads and traffic patternsBasic smartphone proficiency for using delivery apps and GPS navigationDemonstrated time management and organizational skillsFlexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing delivery schedulesAbility to pass a criminal background checkMust be able to commute to and from the designated station where delivery vehicles are storedAge requirement: Must meet minimum age requirement (to be specified by the company)Resilience to work in various weather conditions and high-pressure situationsDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in package handling and delivery confirmation Easy and fast application process
