About this role

Purpose:

To provide high quality service deliverables to the Clients you are responsible for, ensuring all deliverables are met and the Clients expectations are managed and met on a day to day basis.Prepare and, where appropriate depending on experience, review all Financial Statements and disclosures and ad-hoc client deliverables in relation to providing fund administration services to clients.Expected to help improve the processes and efficiencies of the department.Expected to develop expertise of Alternative Investments such as Real Estate, Private Equity, and Private Credit Fund Structures such as TMK, GK/TK, and LPS accounting and administration processes.Expected to gain the knowledge and experience of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for complying with the requirements for pass-through.Expected to combine IQ-EQ’s global policy, digital asset, and philosophy with Japan team’s operation and quality of deliverables.Core Responsibilities:

You'll manage financial servicing for a portfolio of clients, ensuring smooth day-to-day relationship management and high-quality client support.You'll deliver accurate and timely client reporting, information, and service requests in line with agreed standards and deadlines.You'll maintain strong client relationships by providing consistent communication and responding effectively to client needs.You'll minimize operational and compliance risks by following established procedures, controls, and checklists.You'll ensure adherence to IQ-EQ policies and best practices while contributing to the efficient and accurate delivery of services across the team.Tasks / Duties:

Client Delivery

Timely delivery of quality service to Client to ensure all requests for designated clients are met, ensuring any client/investor queries are responded to within 24 hours.Complete a review on designated Client work (includes NAV, Financial Statements and other Ad Hoc Tasks) and assist on reviews for other teams as required.Maintain regular contact with Client through regular and ad-hoc phone calls and emails detailing upcoming deliverables and progress thereof.Report any breaches, complaints or errors to Fund Accounting Manager promptly.Ensure all error reports are completed for review on the day an error is identified.What we offer

You have practical accounting experience, including preparing journal entries and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.You can prepare trial balances and financial statements while ensuring accurate accounting records and reporting.You can assess transaction details and supporting documentation to apply the appropriate consumption tax classification.You are comfortable reading and interpreting English invoices and contracts and collaborating with international teams through Microsoft Teams.You are proficient in Microsoft Excel (SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, IF, sorting/filtering, pivot tables, AutoFilter) and Microsoft Word, including reviewing tracked changes and drafting contractual and business documents.One or more of the following areas would be advantageous at this moment:

SPC Accounting Experience (from monthly to annual)(Real estate SPCs are very welcome, as are private equity investment SPCs and Renewable Energy)Experience in preparing transaction journal entries for real estate acquisition/sale, rental, development, etc.Experience in accounting at real estate companies and hotel management companiesKnowledge and experience with real estate investment schemes, private equity investment schemes, and the vehicles used in them (TMK, TK/GK, MLGK, ISH, LPS, GP, LP, Feeder LP, etc.)Fixed asset ledger preparation and assistance with depreciable asset declarationsExperience in J-GAAP audit response (IFRS group audit response, welcome)Experience with tax filing assistance (especially the breakdown of items attached to consumption tax and corporate tax returns)Experience in preparing FS, notes, and supplementary schedulesExperience preparing business reports at the end of the fiscal year for submission to the Kanto Local Finance BureauIn addition to the above, reporting tasks are also conducted to relevant authorities and ministries such as the Kanto Local Finance Bureau, Financial Services Agency, and Bank of Japan.Preparation of statutory records (experience in shipping to local governments in each prefecture as an employee at the end of the fiscal year is welcome)Practical experience in converting from J-GAAP to IFRS and other GAAP standardsKnowledge and practical experience in consolidated accounting (consolidated with IFRS)Account opening, EB implementation and management, and preparation for payment on either EB or paper basisWork experience at a Japanese accounting firm or tax accountant corporationExperience using Money Forward, Yardi, and othersExperience creating VBA macros and RPAExperience Collaborating with Overseas Shared Service CentersHolders of Certified Public Accountant qualifications (Japan, the United States, etc.), tax accountant qualifications, and subject passersOne or more of the following areas would be advantageous at this moment:
