We work with local restaurants and food retailers to offer their delicious food in reusable packaging to our local community in Toronto.
We are looking for a PHP Web Developer responsible for managing back-end and front-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the IT team in completing projectsTroubleshoot and fix any issues relating to PHP programsEnsure smooth operations of web processes and infrastructureCreate scripts to facilitate client systems to meet performance and objectivesTest and develop software for client applicationsCreate documentation for code and software createdUtilize source debuggers and write or modify client softwareProduce results effectively and within the deadlines set Proven experience as a PHP developer in a competitive environmentStrong knowledge of PHP coding and web-based applicationsGood understanding of website integration and software creationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to follow clear instructions according to client demandsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCreative ability to produce effective solutions to client problemsGood team player that is enthusiastic about delivering resultsAble to work seated in front of a computer screen for long hours at a timeExperience working in an agile environment, participating in stand up meetings, and documenting your work Wage: $1,400 Honorarium paid every 2 months ($17.50 per hour)
