Primary Function of Position
The Customer Trainer will report directly to the Customer Training Manager, Taiwan. This training professional will deliver Intuitive technology training and facilitate surgeon-led training for surgeons, first assistants, and OR staff from a variety of surgical specialties including urology, gynecology, colorectal surgery, ENT, cardiac, thoracic, and general surgery. The Customer Trainer will be actively involved in the continuous improvement of training programs and provide support for customer trainings initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct as the trainer for Intuitive Surgical System training programs to surgical teams and care teams at designated training centers and remote centersDevelop competency in the following:da Vinci® System Technologyda Vinci® System applications and advanced technologyOR EfficiencyTraining Pathway processTraining/coaching techniques/methodologiesSupport one or more marketing verticals by specialty to conduct advanced training for surgical teams; design agendas as needed and obtain regulatory approval, and supporting the needs of the surgeon educators and course participantsConduct surveys to gather data and measure program effectivenessAct as subject matter expert for internal projects, as neededNew product developmentTraining material/ protocol developmentTraining research initiativesFacilitate and support internal/external training events, marketing events, society events, VIP sessions, and exhibit hallsWork with the Training team in a creative, dependable, and flexible manner to improve existing training programsSupport da Vinci® Surgical System troubleshooting and maintenance at the training centerManage training center logistics, inventory and training calendarsMaintain all capital equipment, including but not limited to the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and accessoriesSupport positive relationships between external training center personnel and ISI management• Contribute to the organization’s goal achievements Required Skills and Experience
At least 3 years of experience. Professional Training experienceProven experience training on complex topics and/or technologyClinical and/or operating room experience preferredMedical-device experience preferredKnowledge of adult learning principles preferredExcellent oral and written communication skills - Mandarin plus EnglishSolid organizational skills and ability to operate independentlyHigh capacity and excellent problem solving skillsProfessional work ethicStrong interpersonal skillsHigh capacity to learn in a fast paced environmentCommitment self-developmentAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to be flexible with hours of operationAbility to travel up to 30%
Required Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Clinical or Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Communications or Education

This position may be filled at a different job level than listed here depending on
business need and/or on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge and skills.
Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
