About this role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Unix System Administrator to join our IT team based in Lisbon.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for operational availability, performance, and security of Unix infrastructure across on-prem and cloud.Administer and maintain Unix-based systems, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.Implement and manage system security policies and permissions to ensure data integrity and compliance.Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.Optimize system performance through tuning and resource management.Develop and maintain documentation and provide technical support.Plan and execute system migrations and upgrades. 3–5 years of hands-on Unix administration in operations/run.Fluent in English; technical English required.Rigorous, service-oriented, autonomous, strong team player.Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills (written/verbal).
