MISSION
The French Translator is responsible for supporting the various French language needs of the business.

Functional
Translate and adapt English-to-French retail marketing content, including in-store signage, emails, packaging, promotional campaigns, product descriptions, and contest rulesTranslate and adapt corporate content, including internal and store communications, ensuring clear, accurate, and consistent messaging for diverse audiencesReview, proofread and correct a wide range of materials to ensure that they are accurate for the French-Canadian audienceEnsure client and audience satisfactionPossess the ability to capture corporate voice and tone in translationsDeliver quality content in an efficient and timely mannerAct as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processesProactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needsEmbrace and seek out technology that creates high-tech and high-touch solutions for Indigo’s customersChallenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve themSCOPE

Work Experience/Education/Certifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in translation, 1-3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience and educationCommunications, retail, marketing and product description translation experienceCompetencies/Skills/Attributes
Bilingual French and English communication and written skillsProficiency in both French and English grammarAbility to determine and enforce quality standards in all projectsAbility to interpret the meaning of English texts and transpose it to FrenchAbility to understand the company voice and to accurately reflect it in translationsProficiency in post-editing machine and AI-generated translationsSuperior problem-solving skills and sense of urgencyAbility to work well under pressure, to establish a timeline and to multitask dailyAbility to work independently, to prioritize workload efficiently and to manage assignmentsStrong proficiency in MS OfficeKnowledge of Logiterm is considered an assetPlease note: shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a translation test.
