About this role
We have an immediate opening for an Audio Visual Technician III to join our Michigan office located in Commerce. The technician will be an integral part of a team dedicated to installation and service. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude.
Primary Role
Lead and perform AV system installation tasks such as installing displays and dvLED walls, configuring system devices, tuning audio systems, performing final system commissioning, etc. in addition to the maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and repair of AV equipment.
Detailed Activities
Lead the installation and integration of innovative AV technologies from manufacturers such as Barco, Biamp, Christie Digital, Crestron, Extron, Middle Atlantic, NVIDIA, Poly, Samsung, Shure, Sony and Microsoft Teams in our systems.Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installationRead and interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and blueprintsFine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performanceUtilize test and calibration equipmentSet up workstations (PC) audio and video input and output (including advanced video configurations)Configure IP addressable devices to establish communication on a networkPerform preventative maintenance services, routine testing, and problem diagnosis of integrated systemsAbility to balance multiple tasks and changing prioritiesExercise appropriate judgement when dealing with customers and planning/executing tasksEffective communication with clients and colleaguesAccountable for ensuring that all job tasks are performed in accordance with IGI standardsCommunicate and interact with colleagues and customers in a professional and timely mannerGrow professionally through ongoing training and certifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalentAdvanced knowledge of commercial audiovisual systemsAble to differentiate colorsMinimum 5 years of related experience as an AV integration technician preferredAdvanced knowledge of AV systems, and working knowledge of wall/ceiling construction techniquesPreferred Certifications

Travel
Regular local, and occasional out of state/overnight travel.
Work Hours
Normal work hours for the Audio Visual Technician III position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Pay
Compensation range is $29/hr. - $39/hr. depending on experience.

Advanced Audio-Visual Integrations projects consist of large dvLED and other LED video wall solutions, control rooms, and other complex, sophisticated solutions.
